The claims of student’s funds mis­appropriation facing the former TUSO –IUCo President John Juma Kanyolo is now under the hands of the Prevention and Combating of Corruption Bureau (PCCB).
PCCB is investigating the pos­sible misuse of money that forced the impeachment of the former TUSO-IUCo president as ex­posed by the then sucked Gen­eral Secretary Geoffrey Kunambi.
Speaking to Tumaini Weekly, the seating TUSO-IUCo President, Method Kagoma said PCCB are investigating the matter and have already started going through the documents related to the opera­tion of the National Microfinance Bank (NMB) and National Bank of Commerce (NMB) accounts.
“If you want more explanations you can consult the Speaker
 (TUS­ RC) since my office have given to them a go ahead to deal with the issue” explained President
The matter seems to take long to be resolved and some stu­dents are now raising question on why to date no any audi­tors report has been released.
The TUSRC Speaker, Henry Mwinuka told Tumaini Weekly that at University level, the mat­ter is at the office of the Deputy Provost Administration, Ordina­tion Mgongolwa for follow up.
“We wrote the letter via the Dean of Students, Rev.Oswald Ndelwa requesting that they should not give certificates to the alleged previous leaders but no any answer was so far given” lamented the Speaker.
The efforts by Tumaini Weekly to get explanations form the DPA was fruitless as he was not in office.
